Our next home, perhaps? Gauss flew out to San Mateo to check out housing options, including a 2 BR cottage owned by Robin, a woman I've worked with for years. Her late uncle lived there until two years ago. It needs cleaning up, but if you look past the Halloween decorations and the glassware arrayed for an estate sale, it's cute. The setting is great, too—big trees, a quiet, winding street—even Spicy the Industrial Size (yet rural) Cat could live there!

Here's where we're starting from: our house north of Stillwater. Looking for a good tenant who will treat the place like home.
